Opening in Uganda, East Africa

After years of learning and working for the founder Nour, marriage and love brought her to settle in a new place, Uganda, a very green country of warm-hearted and happy people, in east Africa.

“As a woman and a mom-to-be, I aspire to continue this artistic journey I started in 2018 regardless of any challenge.”

Soon, our workshop in Uganda will open its doors for new opportunities and human connections. It is a space surrounded by old trees of mangoes and avocados, that is dedicated to art, fashion, and innovation.

About Nour

Whether in times of peace or chaos, being raised in Lebanon, a very politically active country, I was taught to adhere and learn from what life can offer. I grew up travelling throughout the world through flights, pages, and human-stories, from east to west, and it taught me about the beauty humans of this world can offer. Our wardrobe and libraries can tell. Reality did lead me to colourful pursuit and that is art.

In 2018, I graduated with a Multimedia Journalism BA, but found that “nothing but the blues in the news”. So, I decided to escape the newsroom by immersing myself in the culture of fashion and art. And so did the journey of District Noon start. And as a modest and modern woman, I decided to dedicate this District to explore parallel concepts and design timeless and artisanal clothes for the modern, modest, and colourful women out there who appreciate beauty and culture.

ESMOD Beirut, Conde Nast College of Fashion and Design, London College of Fashion and Central Saint Martin’s were the places I gathered my academic knowledge from.

But for me school was not all. The streets of Beirut, old bazaars of the region, and stories from my dear inspiring grandma, Zuhra, about her life and art journey is where I came to know my path and style in fashion.

After years of learning and working, marriage and love brought me to settle in a new place, Uganda, a very green country of warm-hearted and happy people, in east Africa. And as a woman and a mom-to-be, I aspire to continue this artistic journey I started in 2018 regardless of any challenge.

Now that I am far away from home, I always find nostalgia hunting my heart to reinterpret life, stories, and memories into pieces of art and fashion.
